As a Shannon Center for Advanced Studies 2023–24 Mid-Career Fellow, A.D. Carson developed his forthcoming book, Being Dope: Hip Hop & Theory through Mixtape Memoir (Oxford University Press), alongside a five-track EP titled For Immediate Release.
